West Jakarta Is Safe from Fake Vaccine

West Jakarta Health Dept ensures that West Jakarta is still safe from fake vaccine. Considering, periodic supervision has been intensified.

"All hospitals, either government, private or puskesmas have been monitored routinely or supportive supervision to the immunization program of the storage, distribution and administration of immunization," expressed Head of West Jakarta Health Sub-dept, Dewi Setiasari, Wednesday (6/29).

She disclosed, there are four types of vaccine that become a priority, namely Oral Polio, BCG, Hepatitis B immunization for baby aged 0-7 days, as well as measles immunization.

Vaccine in City's Health Facilities is Original

She ensured vaccine in her region is original, because distribution and clarity source have been supervised. She also gets vaccine from Jakarta Health Dept and distributed to sub-district puskesmas.

"After that, vaccine is distributed again to urban village puskesmas. Likewise with hospital, community clinic (BPM) and private health facility (faskes)," she explained.

She added, to maintain vaccine quality, its distribution process has also been audited by independent auditor.

Yet, she admitted there are constraints on controlling the vaccine injection in places where doctors and midwives practice independently.

"Vaccine in independent places is original and safe," she asserted.
